Re-use of agricultural barn for a ceramics and craft workshop with office.
The barn is sited together with 2 other traditional farm buildings as part of courtyard complex. The project entailed keeping the existing language of the local agrarian architecture. The roof was raised and it’s profile changed to accommodate the workshop and carport extension. Natural Welsh slate was used on the roof. The North glazing looks out from a high vantage point across the valley down onto Builth Wells.
